Well it’s true wallpaper is making a comeback! Whether its in the living room, bathroom, or office, wallpaper is hitting the walls. Wallpaper was and is still used as an interesting accent wall, but now it is being used more for decorative statements and implemented as art. Installing wallpaper is a great deal of effort but so worth it, allowing your space to express character and come to life!
There is no one way to apply wallpaper – it can be applied on all four walls, patterns in unusual places, or simply as an accent wall. Wallpaper offers a wide array of patterns ranging from stripes to floral to name a few. Some individuals may become tired of the wallpaper they have chose after a while, but that’s why there are peel and stick options that you can peel off and apply new when you feel like it! Be creative and choose wallpaper that will allow your space to have a new look offering a great ambiance. Check out my previous blog “Maintaining Creativity in Interior Design” to get those creative juices flowing next time you pick out wallpaper.

Picking out wallpaper for your space is the first step you will want to take in this process. Once you have that it will be easy to decide where it should be placed. There are so many different types of wall paper that can really make your space come alive! A few of my favorite types of wallpaper are listed here.
- Mural Wallpaper
- Story Wallpaper
- Neutral Wallpaper
- Accent Wallpaper
- Ceiling Wallpaper
Mural wallpaper is ever-changing, literally there will never be a spot that is identical. This arrangement will look best in a neutral based space.
Story wallpaper allows a personal touch to be brought to any project. Whether its linking back to your heritage or your favorite flower – make that space pop!
Neutral wallpaper is timeless – it will never go out of style. It may be best to add neutral wallpaper in spaces such as a bedroom where it can still add character, but remains as a calm oasis.
Accent wallpaper can offer the same effect as implementing large scale artwork into your space. Add accent wallpaper in places like your living room or where a large wall exists.
Ceiling wallpaper can be taken to new heights, literally, by adding it overhead. This could be used in nurseries to give your child an interesting pattern to look at or in a tall entry way to add some expressiveness.

Wallpaper is simple to use and adds so much to your space. This staple is truly making a come back so why not use it to make your space come to life!
